Accounting Manager

Role Summary The Accounting Manager will own the month-end close and general ledger accounting operations for Alpha Lion. In this role, you will execute close tasks with precision, maintain accurate and well-documented GL records, and continuously improve accounting processes to support a fast-growing business. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across time zones and serve as a key contributor to the Finance team's ability to deliver accurate, timely financial reporting to leadership.

Responsibilities

Own and execute month-end close tasks including journal entries, account reconciliations, transaction coding, and financial statement preparation Maintain GL accuracy and ensure all entries are properly supported and audit-ready Complete recurring weekly accounting tasks such as data sync monitoring, transaction processing, and report maintenance Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting Partner with cross-functional teams on ad hoc projects including ERP improvements, data flows, and tax preparation support What Success Looks Like Month-end close tasks are completed on time with clean reconciliations and minimal rework GL records are accurate, well-documented, and immediately reviewable Process improvements are proactively identified and implemented Internal and external stakeholders receive clear, proactive, and timely communication Who You Are You take full ownership of your work, meet deadlines consistently, and communicate proactively when issues arise You track everything, assume nothing, and take pride in documentation that speaks for itself You are a natural systems thinker who is always looking for ways to streamline and improve You thrive in a remote, international environment Experience & Skills 4+ years of accounting experience with direct ownership of month-end close and GL accounting NetSuite proficiency preferred Experience with ecommerce or small/medium US companies preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent is a plus Excellent communication skills in English; comfortable working with global teams across time zones Compensation 2,500~$2,800 USD/month.
