Analyst, Finance, FP&A
Shiseido Americas is a subsidiary of the world-renowned Shiseido Company Limited, focused on beauty innovations. The Financial Analyst role involves supporting the financial performance of the U.S. business for Clé de Peau Beauté, partnering with various departments to deliver financial insights that influence revenue growth and margin performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close process by partnering closely with accounting and business teams
- Perform variance analysis versus budget, latest forecast, and prior year identifying key drivers
- Prepare financial commentary highlighting performance trends, risks, and opportunities
- Track and analyze gross margin performance by product and customer/channel
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the U.S. commercial P&L
- Analyze pricing actions and promotional investments to assess commercial effectiveness
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to support forecasts, business cases, and ad‑hoc commercial analysis
- Maintain and enhance financial models and reporting tools, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights
Skills
- At least 1 year of experience in Financial Analysis, Commercial Finance, FP&A, or a related role
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Strong Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and core financial functions
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear business insights
- Effective communicator, comfortable partnering with non‑finance stakeholders
- Solid understanding of P&L dynamics, margin drivers, and commercial levers
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail
