Job Overview Comprehensive Investigative Solutions (CIS), a licensed Florida private investigation firm, is seeking an experienced investigator to conduct in-depth background investigations. This is a remote role for a Florida-based professional who excels at research, discretion, and thorough reporting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive background investigations, including deep social media and open-source (OSINT) research
- Compile detailed, accurate written reports that clearly summarize your findings
- Analyze digital footprints and online activity to surface patterns and connections relevant to each case
- Liaise with attorneys and insurance representatives via phone and email
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with absolute discretion
- Stay current on evolving research tools, social media trends, and privacy considerations
What we're looking for
- Proven investigative or research experience (background screening, OSINT, or similar)
- Strong social media and online research skills
- Top-tier written and verbal communication
- Sharp analytical ability and a detail-oriented approach to reporting
- A private investigator license is not required for this role — investigative or research experience matters most
