Location: This is a remote position open to candidates based in Canada (CST or EST time zones) and in the following U.S. metro areas: Boston, the DMV area, Raleigh–Durham, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Chicago, Houston, Austin, and Pittsburgh. You will be successful in this role with: Exceptional customer curiosity: You have a genuine interest in learning about the clients we serve, their goals, and their science communication pain points. Strong organization and attention to detail: You can manage multiple priorities, keep accurate records, and follow through on tasks meticulously to ensure nothing falls through the cracks What you'll be doing Prospect new leads (outbound) and create amazing first impressions with potential customers and partners while building pipeline for account executives and senior management Follow up and qualify inbound requests via telephone and email, for scientific and business fit Organize, categorize, and prioritize sales leads in CRM and measure lead conversion and performance against quota Become an expert in the features, benefits and application of BioRender’s software Leverage prospecting tools to research companies and identify key stakeholders at new accounts Develop customized pitches for different target accounts and personas Work with Account Executives to drive outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling, emailing, and communicating our value proposition to decision-makers Work with the field marketing and sales teams to drive attendance at BioRender field events such as executive dinners and happy hours What you bring to the table Strong verbal and written communication skills Not afraid to pick up the phone and cold call Strong self-motivation and willingness to go beyond strict job responsibilities Committed to meet/exceed goals with a proven history of consistent high achievement Willing to work during EST business hours Bonus A bachelor of Science degree or equivalent is a plus (e.g. within the fields of life science, including biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, etc) While prior sales experience is not required it's a plus if you have experience in the following areas: Experience in a Business Development or Sales role, ideally within a SaaS or B2B environment Experience prospecting into outbound leads through cold calling, email, and LinkedIn outreach to generate new business opportunities Strong working knowledge of ZoomInfo, building lead lists and finding the right contacts/leads Note: We recognize that career paths vary, and your unique journey may have equipped you with the necessary skills even if you don’t meet all of the criteria above. What you can expect from our interview process Introductory calls: We will set up a 20-30 minute phone call with one of our recruiters during which you’ll have the opportunity to share more about your experience and interests. Hiring Manager interview: You will meet with one of our Business Development Managers. You’ll learn more about BioRender and the team you’re interviewing with. Feel free to ask any questions throughout these calls! Practical interview: You’ll be completing a practical exercise so we can see your skills in action and give you a realistic role preview. This exercise will be conducted with our BD Manager. Leadership interview: You'll meet with one of our senior leaders for a final conversation. This is a chance to learn more about BioRender, discuss your experience, and ask any remaining questions before we wrap up the process. Why join us?
