CM Director of Project Management & Engineering
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering
- 10-15+ years of experience in Manufacturing and Process Technologies, with a focus on Food and Beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods
- 8-10 years developing engineering strategies for manufacturing environments
- 5-7+ years of managerial experience over multiple engineering functions
- Project Management certification (PMP)
The Director of Engineering and Capital Projects is a crucial Global Engineering and Project Management team leader. This position spearheads strategic capital projects across the Global Supply Chain. The ideal candidate possesses a robust background in industrial spaces, with expertise in mechanical and electrical design and software integration for comprehensive sub-system capabilities. Strategic Planning and Execution
- Lead Capital Critical Planning initiatives, aligning short-term and long-term projects with company objectives.
- Introduce innovative technologies to drive company growth and competitive advantage.
- Oversee project performance, including planning, resource management, quality control, and profitability.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Direct a cross-functional team of professionals, fostering collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ensure proper coordination between team members, subcontractors, and clients.
- Provide work assignments and performance reviews to optimize staff utilization.
Technical Oversight
- Develop and approve Master Engineering Projects, including drawings, specifications, and data sheets.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and FM Global standards.
- Provide engineered solutions and root cause analysis for complex manufacturing issues.
Financial Management
- Lead budgeting processes for global engineering areas.
- Analyze costs and develop reduction plans for capital improvements and maintenance projects.
- Monitor and report on project performance to ensure contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
