About the Role

As an Computer Vision Engineer at Panoptyc, you'll thrive on experimentation and rapid iteration, building cutting-edge backend/Computer Vision applications, APIs, and ML/AI solutions. You'll be responsible for:

  • Building computer vision machine learning applications, full-stack (from model architecture to back-end and front-end)
  • Collaborating with a small, tight-knit R&D team to turn ideas into functional solutions
  • Writing comprehensive tests and documentation for your code
  • Iterating quickly based on feedback and results

This role bridges technical implementation and strategic vision, requiring you to not only write excellent code but also understand the "why" behind our products.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in the following: Python. We're framework agnostic.
  • Strong preference to candidates with .NET and C# experience
  • Experience with Linux environments and shell scripting.

  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud-based deployments
  • Experience with RESTful API design and implementation
  • Basic understanding of computer vision concepts and ML/AI frameworks is a plus
  • Experience with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines

  • Honest – even when the truth isn't great, you speak it. If you had an off day, or your manager is wrong, you say so.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities, pays close attention to detail, and communicates honestly and directly. • Competitive compensation package from $20-$30 USD/hr
  • Clear path for professional advancement in a rapidly growing technology company
  • Remote-first culture that values work-life balance and flexibility
