About the position A performance marketing agency working with universities and nonprofit organizations is hiring a Senior Copywriter to lead the development of high-performing, strategic messaging across digital campaigns. This role focuses on writing and concepting conversion-driven copy across channels like landing pages, paid media, and email — while also contributing to broader campaign messaging and brand storytelling. You’ll work closely with designers and strategists to bring campaigns to life, ensuring all messaging is clear, compelling, and aligned with performance goals. This opportunity can be structured either as a full-time role or a freelance/contract engagement, depending on the candidate’s availability and experience.
Responsibilities
- Write and refine copy for landing pages, paid ads, email, and campaign assets
- Develop clear, compelling messaging aligned with campaign strategy
- Contribute to campaign concepting and messaging frameworks
- Ensure consistency in brand voice, tone, and quality across deliverables
- Collaborate with designers, strategists, and creative teams
- Present and explain the rationale behind your copy and messaging decisions
- Incorporate feedback while maintaining creative integrity
- Edit and support work from junior or freelance copywriters
- Stay up to date with marketing trends, formats, and creative approaches
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in advertising or marketing copywriting
- Strong experience writing for performance marketing channels (paid social, search, email, landing pages)
- Experience developing campaigns from concept to execution
- Ability to balance creative storytelling with conversion-focused writing
- Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
- Ability to clearly communicate and defend creative decisions
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- 100% fluency in English (written and communication)
- A strong portfolio showcasing campaign and marketing work

- Agency experience managing multiple brands or campaigns
