Position Summary: The Director, Market Research, will be responsible for developing comprehensive market research plans, and leading the execution of various market research projects to support the commercial growth of Palsonify in Acromegaly and commercialization efforts for pipeline programs. They will be responsible for leading cross-functional efforts with Marketing, Market Access, Sales, Medical Affairs and Corporate Affairs teams to ensure generation of data-driven, actionable insights to support both commercial and pipeline products. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: These may include but are not limited to: Create comprehensive global market research frameworks to support key commercial strategies and tactics. Lead and execute the primary & secondary market research with cross-functional partners, including Commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Corporate Affairs, and Legal. Work with cross-functional partners to understand key business needs across therapeutic targets, product development stages, and lifecycle management. Align the organization on the scope, timing, and objectives of various research initiatives. Ensure that the conclusions and implications drawn from market research studies are objective, sound, relevant to the underlying business questions, supported by data, and communicated effectively to cross-functional teams and commercial leadership. Develop and deliver compelling presentations to senior leadership teams, global product and cross-functional teams within the organization to influence strategic and tactical decision-making. Identify qualified suppliers to conduct global market research studies and manage the process to engage suppliers for needed studies in a cost-effective manner and compliant with industry and company standards & policies. Ensure marketing research activities are conducted in accordance with financial and ethical compliance guidelines. Partner with Sales and Commercial Analytics Leads to proactively develop, track, and monitor key performance indicators for commercial tactics. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, Science, or related field. Master’s degree (MBA) strongly preferred. 12+ years of related experience working in marketing sciences or market research within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry and a minimum of 8 years’ experience in a supervisory role. Experience managing promotions and market research vendors. Experience in pharmaceutical situational analysis and brand planning. Ability to consolidate and present key findings to key stakeholders. Experience designing and conducting quantitative and qualitative market research across multiple customer groups, including but not limited to physicians, patients, allied health care professionals, pharmacists, and advocacy groups. Experience in generating data-driven and actionable commercial insights from standard and non-standard pharmaceutical data sets. Ability to analyze complex issues, distill information to essential knowledge, develop business-relevant strategic recommendations, and persuasively present to a range of stakeholders. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Physical Activities: On a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate. Salary Range The salary range for this position is: $199,000 - $249,000.In addition to your base pay, our total rewards program consists of a discretionary annual target bonus, stock options, ESPP, and 401k match. We also provide top-notch health insurance plans for employees (and their families) to include medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance, 20 days of PTO, 10 paid holidays, and a winter company shutdown.
