Emergency Management / Recovery Planning Specialist
You will support the development of emergency preparedness, continuity, and recovery strategies for critical water infrastructure systems. Your expertise will help strengthen operational readiness, improve incident response capabilities, and ensure service restoration plans are in place for major disruptions. In this role, your guidance will directly impact how utility systems respond to emergencies and recover quickly to maintain public service. This is an opportunity to play a key role in protecting essential infrastructure and community resilience. This opportunity is contingent upon our client being awarded the contract WORKSITE: Remote WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday PST hours PAY RATE: $110.00/hour WHAT WE OFFER:

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Develop emergency preparedness and incident response strategies
- Evaluate continuity of operations (COOP) and recovery capabilities
- Conduct scenario planning and emergency exercise support
- Develop disaster recovery and service restoration frameworks
- Advise on crisis management and interagency coordination
- Support resilience and contingency planning initiatives
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 15+ years of emergency management or critical infrastructure recovery experience
- Utility, FEMA, military, homeland security, or public-sector background
- Strong knowledge of COOP, incident management, and disaster recovery planning
- Experience supporting large-scale emergency response programs
- Expertise in interagency coordination and service restoration planning
- California utility or emergency operations experience preferred
