Executive Assistant & Recruiting Research - Remote (International)

I'm looking to hire a bright, organized, tech savvy professional to work directly with me at a boutique legal recruiting firm. International candidates are welcome. This is a long-term, generalist role; you'll handle everything from spreadsheet review to email management and invoicing to identifying attorney candidates using AI and LinkedIn. You need to be genuinely comfortable with admin work and enjoy the variety of also doing research. What You'll Actually Do:

  • Admin/operations (30-60%):

Email management, database updates (Loxo, Trello), invoicing, job postings, document management, tracking placements, improving systems and processes

  • Recruiting research/sourcing (40-70%):

Using LinkedIn Recruiter and AI tools to identify attorney candidates and potential clients, draft outreach emails, maintain candidate spreadsheets The Reality: The work is varied with this admin/sourcing split. Some of this work is straightforward and routine—the kind of work that keeps a business running but isn't glamorous. If you're fine with the steady rhythm of support work and appreciate the variety of also doing research, this could be a good fit. Who Thrives Here:

  • You like wearing multiple hats and enjoy shifting between admin and research
  • You read written instructions carefully and follow them precisely. If a manual or process document specifies how to do something, you treat that as the standard, not a guideline.
  • You would enjoy finding ways to automate recurring tasks and evaluating new tech tools
  • You are tech savvy and are willing to learn new tech tools (AI, LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM systems)
  • You're a low-maintenance professional - consistent, reliable, don't need constant feedback
  • You have a growth mindset—you welcome feedback and actively seek ways to improve

What We Offer:

  • $1,500-$3,000/month, depending on experience
  • Independent contractor position (no healthcare benefits)

Requirements:

  • Several years of professional work experience in roles involving detailed, repetitive work (admin, operations, executive assistant, project coordination, customer service, or similar), and research (or sourcing) or an interest in it
  • College or advanced degree preferred, science or other technical background ideal
  • Exceptional attention to detail. The role requires careful reading of source documents (fee agreements, offer letters, manuals) and producing work that you've verified before submitting. Mistakes happen, but the standard is to catch them yourself, not to rely on me to catch them.
  • Willing to learn new tech tools and platforms
  • Strong written communication
  • Comfortable with routine admin work as a core part of the role
  • Available consistently (ideally 40 hours/week)
