Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ABA Behavior Therapist to join our team in Nashville, TN. As a Behavior Therapist, you will play a critical role in implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy and counseling programs for children with ASD. This is a remote work opportunity, offering the flexibility and freedom to work from home while making a significant impact in the lives of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home ABA therapy to children with ASD, implementing individualized treatment plans and behavior support strategies.
  • Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions, using discrete trials and other ABA techniques to promote learning and growth.
  • Work collaboratively with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy.
  • Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors, maintaining professionalism in all aspects of your work.
  • Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions, demonstrating a commitment to punctuality and reliability.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology) preferred.
  • Experience working with children for 1 year in a 1:1 setting, or 1-2 years working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting.
  • 1-year ABA Experience, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle, and the ability to lift up to 35lbs.
  • Physical Requirements: Employee must be able to lift up to 35lbs, perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sitting on floor level or in a chair, or standing for periods of time. Ability to respond quickly in short distances (100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of children.
