Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Data Entry Clerk to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Data Entry Clerk, you'll be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering data into our database, ensuring the highest level of quality and attention to detail. Responsibilities
As a Data Entry Clerk, your key responsibilities will include:
- Transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards and your ability to move through varying programs
- Typing in data provided directly from customers
- Filling in spreadsheets with potentially large numbers of figures without mistakes
- Verifying data by comparing it to source documents
- Updating existing data
- Retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested
- Sorting and organizing paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Proven experience as a data entry clerk (preferred but not required)
- Fast typing skills (at least 40 words per minute)
- A level of comfort with word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)
- Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
- Good command of English (both oral and written) and customer service skills
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
