Experienced Medical Records Data Entry Specialist – 12 Hour Overnight Shifts

What You'll Do

As a Medical Records Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for:

• Performing document preparation, including sorting, filing, and boxing records
• Scanning hard copy files to electronic images, ensuring a high-quality image
• Following production procedures and completing internal documentation and tracking
• Reviewing claim submissions and verifying information
• Recording and maintaining policies and claims information in database systems
• Complying with federal, state, and company regulation policies
• Communicating with insurance agents, beneficiaries, attorneys, patients, and hospital staff
• Preparing claim forms and related documentation for audits and/or mail-out What We Offer

• 1+ year of medical data entry experience
• 1+ year of medical front desk experience
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and computer knowledge
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and management
• Ability to remove staples, sort, file, and box records
• Ability to maintain record order and sequence
• Ability to understand the importance of detail and accuracy
• Ability to work at a sustained pace to meet production rates while producing quality work Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in a medical records or data entry environment
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and medical billing software
