Job Overview: Legal Transcription Quality Assurance Representative We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Transcription Quality Assurance Representative to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Representative, you will be responsible for contributing to the oversight of our quality management program, reviewing legal transcripts, and providing assessment feedback to ensure that independent contractor work meets our high-quality standards. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from home and collaborate with our team of professionals in the legal industry. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, exhibiting company values and ensuring that all communications are handled in a professional, timely, and courteous manner.
  • Communicate necessary information punctually, accurately, and effectively, reporting incidents to management as needed.
  • Welcome change and continuously work to enhance job knowledge, bringing value to your role and the team.
  • Take ownership of your work, following through until final resolution and providing transcriptionist support post-scheduling through job completion.
  • Conduct quality assessments of transcriptionists' work product, preparing and delivering feedback for transcriptionist and reporter review.
  • Act as a level two knowledge resource for transcriptionists regarding quality standards and requirements, following established processes and service-level agreements.
  • Remain in calibration with the quality team regarding the details and parameters of quality judgment, feedback delivery, and engagement support levels.
  • Work within established production levels for various tasks, tracking and reporting information as requested.
  • Provide special task transcription support as assigned and in accordance with business needs.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of transcription experience, with a strong background in the legal field.
  • 1+ year of transcription QA experience, with a proven track record of providing high-quality feedback and support.
  • Experience providing written and in-person feedback, with the ability to proofread and edit documents effectively and efficiently.
  • Able to manage legal transcript content according to standards, with a strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
  • Able to manage simultaneous use of software applications, with proficiency in professional use of MS Office applications.
  • Advanced typing speed of 60+ WPM, with superior written communication skills and advanced English language skills, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Support-service oriented with strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently in strict alignment with a team.
  • Dedicated professionalism, with the ability to respond promptly and accurately, and retain details and process work accordingly.
  • Excellent hearing and ability to easily discern details and speakers within audio recordings.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
