Role As we expand AC and build brand‑new titles on new platforms, we’re looking for a Game Designer who loves moving fast with a small, passionate team and thrives in an environment where ideas get tested immediately—not six months later. This Game Designer role is for someone who’s obsessed with: Virality and social-first design Fast prototyping and aggressive iteration Drop‑in multiplayer, party‑game energy, and systems that spark laughter, chaos, and shareable moments Working hands‑on with the team to ship early, test constantly, and refine based on what players actually do—not what we assume You’ll set the creative vision for our upcoming Steam PC projects, and shape the creative identity of our next Steam PC experiences—especially around party‑game energy, drop‑in multiplayer, social systems, and level design that sets players up for hilarious, high‑chaos encounters.. What You’ll Do Game Vision & Creative Leadership Define and evolve the game’s creative direction—tone, vibe, world, characters, and the “why it’s fun” core. Drive rapid prototyping: take small ideas to playable tests fast, iterate even faster, and kill what isn’t working. Drive level design direction, ensuring maps, spaces, and encounters naturally create memorable, viral moments players love talking about. Champion social/party‑game mechanics, “drop‑in/instant fun” loops, and systems that help players make their own moments. Ensure every feature and level supports the “easy to play, fun immediately, impossible not to share” ethos. Work closely with design, art, engineering, and marketing to push social features, shareability, and fan-favorite ideas forward. Tune direction constantly based on real player feedback, playtests, data, and community sentiment. Team Leadership Collaborate hands‑on with designers and artists—testing ideas daily, jamming on mechanics, and pushing toward clarity. Set simple, actionable creative targets your team can hit quickly. Help coach and grow a high‑velocity, low‑ego creative culture. Actively use (and encourage) AI‑powered tools that help the team ship faster and experiment more. Live Ops, Performance & Growth Partner with leadership to make sure the experience grows in the right direction—mechanically, socially, and creatively. Keep features lean, impactful, and tightly tuned to player behavior. Work with the broader team to ensure monetization fits the social/party nature of the experience. Stay on top of trends in social games, party games, UGC systems, and online multiplayer behaviors. What You Bring Hands‑on experience taking a game from concept to launch. Strong level design background—able to guide, evaluate, and evolve levels that drive social fun, surprise, and replayability. A portfolio that shows strong creative direction in multiplayer, social, or systemic games (party games, social sandboxes, light‑chaos co‑op, etc.). Deep intuition for what makes a moment shareable, clippable, or viral. Experience moving fast with small cross‑functional teams. Strong creative taste paired with the humility to pivot quickly based on playtest results. Clear communicator who can rally a team around a simple, focused vision. Comfort with live‑ops iteration cycles and player‑driven decision‑making. Passion for gaming, experimentation, and trying bold ideas early.
