We are specifically seeking candidates with recent experience working in industry in a Health Information Management (HIM) role. Previous teaching experience is great but not a requirement. Responsibilities of the Healthcare Instructor:Instruct assigned courses within designated programHost bi-weekly live sessions via Zoom in each courseMaintain a flexible schedule that accommodates office hours and 1:1 meetings to provide an excellent student experienceProvide students with timely information and feedback on their academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework, and projectsConduct outreach to increase engagement with at-risk studentsMaintain accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance and submit final grades in accordance with university policyActively participate in meetings, training programs, and professional development as requiredRemain current with developments within the area of instructional responsibilityOther duties as required by the faculty job description, SOPs, and other university policiesRequirements of the Healthcare Instructor:Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Medical Science or related field required3 + years Health Information Management (HIM) experienceHaving some of the qualifications below is preferred:RHIT or RHIA designationCPC or CCS certificationPrevious experience teaching online is preferredAbility to work in a virtual environment using multiple software programs simultaneously including MS Office programs, Canvas, Cvue, Gmail, Zoom, etc.Bryan University is an Equal Opportunity Employer and embraces diversity as a critical step in ensuring employee, student, and graduate success.
