[Hiring] HIM Data Integrity Technician @OSF HealthCare
Role Description The HIM Data Integrity Technician is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and maintaining data integrity in the Master Patient Index and electronic health record (EHR). This includes:
- Correction of duplicate medical record numbers
- Contact moves
- Issuing MyChart proxy access requests
- Overlaying review
- Charting correction case review
- Interface Error work queues in the EMR
- Care Everywhere work queues
Qualifications
- Education: High School/GED
- Experience: 6 months' experience in Health Information Management (HIM), medical records, or electronic health records
- Other skills/knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail-oriented
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in Epic handling chart corrections or identity tasks
- Prior HIPAA knowledge
- Licensure/Certifications: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred
Requirements
- Expected pay for this position is $18.80 - $22.12/hour
- Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity
- This is an Hourly position
