Digital Turbine is seeking a Junior Android Developer to join our team and be an important part in building its next generation of products. You will work closely with a team and help develop and deliver high quality Android based solutions that will help drive our business to new levels. Your globally distributed Android team will focus on building well designed and efficient microservice architectures to help our business operations move forward with new features and capabilities. Our teams are organized into agile, cross-functional teams that cover the full software development lifecycle. About the Junior Android Developer: Work closely with a small team of engineers on a daily basis Participate in code reviews, and ensure overall quality Learn and implement industry best practices to maximize software development performance, efficiency, and quality Collaborate with other teams as needed (design, backend engineering, devops, product management, QA) for maximum effectiveness Provide in-life application support, as needed About you as the Junior Android Engineer: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field Basic understanding of Android development experience Foundational knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Ability to write clean, functional, and well documented code Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred experience of a Junior Android Engineer: Ability to work in Agile engineering environments (e.g., Scrum) Understanding of OOP, Kotlin, Java and Git Knowledge of Android framework internals and testing frameworks Familiarity with Firebase Cloud Messaging, Analytics, and Crashlytics About Digital Turbine: Digital Turbine (NASDAQ: APPS) powers superior mobile consumer experiences and results for the world’s leading telcos, advertisers and publishers. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Basic understanding of Android development experience
  • Foundational knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Ability to write clean, functional, and well documented code
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice-to-haves
