Lead Business Analyst - Asset Management Transformation (Insurance) We are partnering with a leading insurance organization undergoing a significant Asset Management transformation and are seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to join a high-profile strategic program. This role will play a key part in driving business analysis activities across investment operations, accounting, and data initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to define requirements, support solution design, and help deliver large-scale transformation outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation activities across complex asset management initiatives
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to identify business needs and define future-state solutions
- Develop business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, user stories, and supporting documentation
- Analyze current operating models and identify opportunities for process improvement, enhanced controls, and data quality enhancements
- Support target operating model design and business process transformation efforts
- Collaborate with business, technology, and vendor teams to ensure alignment between requirements and delivered solutions
- Maintain key project artifacts, including requirements traceability, decision logs, risks, issues, and dependencies
- Support testing activities by defining business scenarios, acceptance criteria, and validation approaches
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior analysts where applicable
Qualifications
- 10+ years of Business Analysis experience within Asset Management/Investment Management/Insurance
- Strong understanding of investment operations, investment accounting, portfolio accounting, valuation, and performance reporting
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation programs, including process redesign, data initiatives, system implementations, or operating model changes
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, structured documentation and actionable solutions
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and influencing skills
- Experience working across business, technology, and vendor teams in complex environments
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate ambiguity within fast-paced transformation programs
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to investment data management, data governance, or enterprise data initiatives
- Experience with insurance asset management organizations or complex multi-entity investment structures
- Knowledge of public markets, fixed income, private investments, and alternative asset classes
- Experience supporting front-to-back investment lifecycle processes
