The Manager, CEE Connecticut is an experienced educational professional with a finger on the pulse of the state of Connecticut education. The Manager will operate as CEE’s on-the-ground presence, build and grow CEE’s programming efforts within the state, and strategically cultivate relationships within the local education community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and convener for key stakeholders across Connecticut’s education community, including district leaders, nonprofits, and partner organizations, to advance economics and financial literacy education.
  • Create, coordinate, and lead teacher professional development programs, including train-the-trainer models, with a goal of training 400+ educators annually.
  • Conduct outreach and cultivate a cadre of qualified K–12 educators to expand professional development capacity and extend reach into every district to implement CEE programs that support their needs.
  • Lead the planning and execution of professional development and academic competition events, including logistics, venue coordination, and vendor management.
  • Grow CEE programs for high school students including the National Economic Competition (NEC), National Personal Finance Competition (NPFC), National Investment Challenge (NIC), and Invest in Girls (IIG).
  • Work closely with CEE staff to develop and execute a growth plan that is aligned to CEE’s organizational objectives.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Classroom teaching experience in economics, personal finance, business, or related subject areas.
  • Classroom teaching experience in a Connecticut public school is preferred.
  • Expertise in Connecticut learning standards and curriculum implementation.
  • Experience building, managing, and sustaining relationships with funders, strategic partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Experience presenting to educators and designing/facilitating professional development programs.
  • Strong oral and written communication, organization, and presentation skills.
  • A dynamic individual with the willingness and ability to conduct face-to-face outreach within the community.
  • Ability to implement programs independently while also having a collaborative approach, both leading and working as part of a team.
  • Some regional travel in Connecticut required including representing CEE at state conferences and events.
