About the Role: A typical day in the life of our Manager of Business Intelligence could include:

  • Leading a team of analysts and engineers
  • Owning the strategic architecture of our BI environment
  • Partnering with executive leadership to track critical KPIs

You’ll work closely with the CTO to define and execute Nextep’s overarching BI strategy to ensure data initiatives align with company growth. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the extraction and integration of complex datasets from PrismHR and other third-party tools into a centralized ecosystem
  • Designing and delivering sophisticated internal dashboards for Sales, Operations, and Finance while developing client-facing analytics for our SMB customers
  • Maintaining rigorous data governance and security standards to ensure full compliance with PII and HIPAA regulations
  • Staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in HR tech and data visualization to drive innovation and inform strategic decisions

About You: You have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Engineering
  • A strong background in the PEO or HR Tech industry, with deep knowledge of payroll datasets and HRIS structures
  • Expert-level proficiency in Snowflake and SQL, and proven mastery of Power BI or Looker
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear narratives for executive leadership and small business owners
