Medical Support Specialist – Veteran Services

Use Your Healthcare Experience to Make a Meaningful Impact RallyPoint Advisors is seeking compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Support Specialists to assist veterans navigating the VA disability claims process. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals who want to step away from traditional clinical environments while continuing to use their medical knowledge in a meaningful, mission-driven setting. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will work directly with veterans to help them better understand and prepare for disability-related medical evaluations. You’ll play an important role in ensuring veterans feel informed, organized, and confident throughout the process. This is an education and support-focused position — not a clinical treatment role. What You’ll Do

• Conduct scheduled phone consultations with veterans regarding upcoming medical evaluations
• Review medical history, symptoms, and service-connected conditions with clients
• Help veterans understand what to expect during disability-related examinations
• Educate clients on how to clearly communicate their conditions and medical history
• Document detailed and accurate case notes within internal systems
• Collaborate with internal case management and medical support teams
• Identify missing information or inconsistencies and escalate for further review when needed
• Provide empathetic, professional, and clear communication throughout the process

This role focuses on guidance, education, and preparation — not diagnosis, treatment, or direct medical care. What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications

• Familiarity with disability evaluations &
• Experience working with veterans or military populations
• Healthcare background preferred (CNA, Medical Assistant, LPN, RN, or similar experience)
• Strong understanding of medical terminology
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
• Ability to explain complex medical information in simple, understandable terms
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Comfortable discussing sensitive health-related topics professionally
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Experience in filing VA claims

Preferred Experience

• Background in patient education, care coordination, or case management
