Mental Health Counselor / Therapist in Training – Telehealth (Illinois) Neurodiversity & Disability Affirming Therapy Ltd. is seeking a part-time therapist in training to provide telehealth psychotherapy services to adults across Illinois. This role may be a good fit for clinicians completing supervised post-graduate experience toward licensure who are interested in working with neurodivergent adults and individuals living with chronic illness or disability. Clinical supervision is provided by an experienced licensed psychologist. Supervised clinical hours completed in this role may count toward licensure requirements in Illinois, depending on the clinician’s licensing track and regulatory requirements. Candidates pursuing supervised experience toward Illinois LCPC or psychologist licensure are especially encouraged to apply. This position requires a minimum commitment of 8 client openings per week. Compensation & Benefits

• $32–$40 per completed 53–60 minute session depending on experience, caseload, and stage of training

About the Practice Neurodiversity & Disability Affirming Therapy Ltd. is a telehealth mental health practice specializing in therapy for adults who are neurodivergent or living with chronic illness or disability. Our clinicians commonly work with individuals experiencing:

Responsibilities

• Provide individual psychotherapy via telehealth
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Participate in supervision toward licensure
• Coordinate care with other providers when appropriate
• Maintain ethical and professional standards of care

Support Provided The practice provides:

• Client referrals
• Insurance credentialing and billing support
• Electronic health record system
• Administrative support
• Clinical supervision toward licensure

Qualifications

Candidates must:

• Hold or be eligible for an Illinois license requiring supervised clinical experience toward LCPC or psychologist licensure
• Hold a master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, clinical mental health counseling, rehabilitation counseling, psychology, or a related behavioral health field
• Be comfortable providing telehealth psychotherapy
• Have interest in working with neurodivergent individuals and people with chronic illness or disability
