Operational Excellence Specialist
Operational Excellence Specialist Northeast Ohio | Hybrid | Client-Facing Consulting Role MAGNET is seeking an Operational Excellence Specialist to join our growing Operational Excellence Consulting Practice. This is a hands-on, implementation-focused role working directly with manufacturers, distributors, logistics providers, and other industrial organizations to improve operational performance, increase productivity, strengthen execution capability, and support sustainable growth. Unlike traditional consulting roles, our team works alongside clients to help implement practical improvements that create measurable business results. You will support operational assessments, process improvement initiatives, workflow analysis, implementation projects, Lean and Continuous Improvement efforts, and client-facing operational consulting engagements across a variety of industrial environments.
What You'll Do
- Support operational improvement and transformation projects
- Conduct process observations, workflow analysis, and operational studies
- Collect and analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities
- Assist with Lean, Continuous Improvement, and operational excellence initiatives
- Support process mapping, KPI analysis, implementation planning, and execution tracking
- Participate in client workshops, Kaizen events, and operational reviews
- Develop implementation documentation, reports, presentations, and project trackers
- Collaborate with consultants, client teams, and implementation partners to drive measurable improvement
What We're Looking For
- 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, logistics, warehousing, engineering, or industrial environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interest in Lean, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or process improvement
- Ability to work directly with frontline teams and operational leaders
- Comfortable in plant, warehouse, logistics, and industrial environments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred
