Job Description

Flip is shifting from a frontline communications platform to a system of action — and this role is what makes that shift real for our customers. As our Senior Strategy Consultant, you will build Flip's consulting practice from the ground up, running pre-sales engagements that accelerate enterprise deals and post-sales projects that develop existing customers into full operating platforms. You start as a functional leader working through the teams that already exist, and grow into building and leading the practice you create. What you can expect Build Flip's consulting practice from the ground up. Define the operating model, methodology, and commercial motion for Flip Consulting: how we position, scope, price, and deliver engagements across the customer lifecycle. You establish the playbooks and standards, work through the existing teams (CSM, Customer Engineering, Solution Engineering, Enterprise and Strategic sales), and lay the foundation for the practice to scale into a team. Run pre-sales consulting engagements that drive deals. Position, sell, and execute consulting pre-projects with enterprise prospects. You identify a prospect's operational pain and translate it into software solutions while articulating the value in clear ROI terms. You will drive workshops on the shop floor, interview senior and operating stakeholders, and prepare and present your results to senior management. Lead post-sales value realization projects. Partner with our Enterprise Customer Success Managers on value realization projects with existing customers to develop them from using Flipster as a communications platform into their operating system of action across all business areas. You design the next horizon with them and deliver it. Productize what works into industry target operating models. Codify your engagements into reusable Flip target operating models for our core verticals (retail, manufacturing, automotive, logistics): best practices, user group archetypes, decentralized setups and permissions, benchmark processes, reference use cases, and Flows. This is how we scale onboarding and implementation success across the customer base. What you bring to the table We're looking for a hands-on, commercially-minded consultant who has built and delivered at the intersection of strategy and technology — and is ready to own a practice, not just a project. Must Haves: 4–8 years in high-pace technical consulting at a renowned consulting firm (BCG Platinion, McKinsey Digital, Accenture, Capgemini, Big Four, or similar) or in a Forward Deployed Consultant / Engineering role at a fast-scaling tech company. Unusually broad range. You're equally credible running a workshop with a COO and discussing ERP integrations with an Enterprise Architect. Most people are one or the other. You're both. Consulting track record with real delivery behind it. You've led client engagements end to end: scoping the problem, designing the solution, and seeing it through to a result that stuck, not just a deck. You're credible with technical and operating stakeholders alike, fluent enough in APIs, low-code platforms, and how enterprise systems connect (SSO, HRIS, ERP, ticketing) to scope build-ready solutions and call what's feasible. Commercial instincts. You think about deals, ROI, and customer business outcomes, not just elegant solutions. You've meaningfully influenced revenue, whether by closing engagements, expanding accounts, or owning a number. Native German and fluent English. Nice to Haves: A track record of building teams or practices. You've taken on formal management or led project teams in a way that developed others and raised the bar — and you're drawn to the idea of growing into that role here. You move fast and trust your judgment. You're comfortable operating with ambiguity and minimal supervision, and you know when to ship rather than perfect. Firsthand understanding of frontline work. You've spent time on a shop floor, in a store, or on a production line - or you've consistently shown the ability to get there quickly and earn credibility with the people who work there. Depending on the role, you’ll join occasional team events, workshops, or meetings in our Berlin or Stuttgart offices - always with plenty of notice.
