Product Owner - Regulatory & SEC Reporting
Role Title: Product Owner - Regulatory & SEC Reporting Employment Type: Contract Duration: From start date through 12/31/2026, with an option to extend for an additional six months, and potential conversion to FTE if mutually beneficial Preferred Location: Remote EST time zone with occasional travel to NY We're seeking a Technical Product Owner with experience supporting regulatory reporting, enterprise data platforms, and data sourcing initiatives. This role will partner with business stakeholders, data architects, engineers, and downstream reporting teams to deliver trusted, high-quality data that supports regulatory filings and enterprise reporting.
Responsibilities
- Own and prioritize the product backlog while leading Agile planning and delivery
- Gather and translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications
- Lead source-to-target mapping efforts, including SOR alignment, joins, filters, and transformation logic
- Partner with ADRS and downstream reporting teams to define data requirements and ensure alignment on authoritative data sources
- Support end-to-end data flow from sourcing through FDI hydration, UCL unification, and downstream reporting
- Drive data quality, reconciliation, testing, and validation activities
- Identify and resolve mapping gaps, technical specification issues, business process gaps, and data quality defects
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver scalable enterprise data solutions
Required Experience
- Product Owner or Technical Product Owner experience supporting enterprise data initiatives
- Experience with regulatory and SEC reporting data requirements
- Strong understanding of how enterprise data supports regulatory filings, reconciliation, and downstream reporting
- Experience leading source-to-target mapping and data transformation activities
- Ability to manage complex backlogs and competing priorities in a data-intensive Agile environment
- Experience gathering detailed business requirements and translating them into technical solutions
- Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture and end-to-end data flows
Preferred Experience
- Banking or financial services experience
- Knowledge of Axiom, Workiva, Oracle Accounting Hub (OAC), or similar regulatory reporting platforms
- Experience with Snowflake or modern cloud data platforms
- Familiarity with UCL, FDI hydration, enterprise data governance, and data quality frameworks
