Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Telehealth Virginia Licensed | Autonomous Practice

We are seeking an independently licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing outpatient mental health practice and provide telehealth services to clients throughout Virginia. **Qualified candidates must have autonomous privileges with DEA prescriptive authority. This is an ideal opportunity for a PMHNP who values autonomy, enjoys collaborating with therapists and other behavioral health professionals, and wants the flexibility to create a schedule that supports both professional and personal goals. What You’ll Do As a PMHNP with MySpectrum, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric services through our HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, including: Conducting psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments Developing individualized treatment plans Prescribing and managing psychiatric medications Monitoring client progress and psychiatric stability Providing medication management follow-up appointments Ordering and reviewing laboratory work when clinically appropriate Completing additional requirements related to laboratory requests, in collaboration with the administrative team Coordinating care with therapists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals Completing authorizations Maintaining accurate and timely electronic health records Educating clients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment recommendations Making referrals for higher levels of care or in-person services when needed

Qualifications

Required Current Virginia PMHNP license with autonomous practice authority Current prescriptive authority through the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine Active DEA registration Experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions Strong clinical assessment and medication management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with electronic health records and telehealth technology Availability to respond to time-sensitive requests each business day throughout the week Preferred Experience in outpatient behavioral health settings Prior telehealth experience Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Experience serving children, adolescents, adults, or families Why Join MySpectrum?
