Recurring Remote Production Support Content - Editor

The Recurring - Remote Production Support – Editor edits basic to standard content to support all ESPN Production groups and performs supporting functions including media ingest/conversion, graphics creation, and audio production. Responsibilities outside of this description may be required based on company and/or department initiatives. This role is remote based without a corporate office location.ResponsibilitiesEdits basic to standard projects using Avid technology and Adobe After Effects and other editing platformsStaffs daily sessions for assigned to projects including features, teases, packages, etc.Display functional knowledge of all Post Production technologies including ingest/output of media, file conversions, media distribution, and quality controlIdentifies and Reports technical issues in a timely mannerMeets deadlines and displays well-developed time and resource management skillsAdheres to all administrative responsibilities including time entry, daily shift reports compliance training and Performance Connection requirementsAdheres to all departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Embraces new technologies and concepts in workflowDisplays consistent growth and development of all required craft editing knowledge and skillsParticipates in bi-monthly clinical workshopsContributes to special projects/assignments as scheduledUtilizes strong interpersonal skills and professional communication to ensure client satisfactionBasic QualificationsValid Driver’s LicenseA minimum of 2 years of Non-Linear editing experienceComputer experience with Microsoft office software skillsAbility to work nights, weekends, and holidaysAbility to travelPreferred QualificationsDemonstrated ability to craft compelling visual stories through effective use of SOT (sound on tape), pacing, and story arc structure.Work independently and creatively without direction from Producer or othersVideo Editing experience on Avid, Final Cut, Premiere or Quantel platformsSolid understanding of editing file structures, broadcast measurements, and A/V formatsSolid understanding of the theory and esthetics of graphics creation, color correction, and audio productionExcels in a team environment, ability to build/maintain positive relationships through solid collaboration effortsAble to promote excellent customer service through individual, departmental, and interdepartmental supportGeneral Sports KnowledgeRequired EducationHigh School Diploma or EquivalentPreferred EducationCollege or Technical School degree in communications, electronics, television production, or related fieldThe pay rate for this remote role is $22.00 - $88.50 per hour. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
