[Remote] 1701 - Network Engineer III
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sigma Defense is seeking a Network Engineer III to monitor network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability. This role involves configuring and installing network devices, performing maintenance and upgrades, and liaising with vendors for problem resolution.
Responsibilities
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Skills
- 4+ years of experience as a network engineer within the DoW environment
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related field of study
- 7+ years of experience, may be substituted for degree requirement
