[Remote] AVP - Data Quality
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Ledgebrook is building a modern data stack and is seeking an AVP, Data Quality to join their Product & Data team. In this role, you will lead efforts to analyze complex data, ensure its integrity and accuracy, and define data quality standards while collaborating with various teams to improve data quality and support data initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the organization’s efforts to analyze complex data to ensure its integrity and accuracy
- Define the data quality vision and standards
- Drive organizational trust in reporting and analytics
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with engineering, data excellence, pricing and analytics, and finance teams to improve data quality
- Define data quality KPIs and develop tools to monitor and improve data quality
- Establish an issue management and resolution process
- Lead a team tasked with proactively querying databases, reviewing data and dashboards, and understanding data flow processes
- Support implementation of data initiatives
Skills
- Insurance domain knowledge required; actuarial work experience or credential (ACAS, FCAS, or equivalent) preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency with SQL, Power BI, and Excel required; exposure to or experience with Snowflake and Python ideal
- Strong analytical and strategic mindset; curious and persistent in finding the 'why' behind data inconsistencies
- Navigating a startup environment, fast paced and dealing with uncertainty
