Remote Cloud Network Engineer
About the position reputed company is seeking a Mid-Level Cloud reputed company Engineer for its Anchorage Alaska-based client. This resource will work Monday Through Friday, working typical daytime business hours in the Alaska Time Zone. This is a mid-level Cloud Network Engineer role supporting enterprise data center, reputed company LAN, internet edge, and office networks. The engineer will work closely with Cloud Network Engineers, Cloud Systems Engineers, and DevOps teams to design, deploy, and maintain hybrid cloud and Software‑Defined Data Center (SDDC) platforms. The role emphasizes hands‑on reputed company routing and switching (including patching), Palo Alto firewall rule configuration, and Aruba ClearPass Network Access Control.
Responsibilities
- Define, design, and implement physical and virtual network infrastructure using standard engineering principles of availability, efficiency, redundancy, scalability, and reputed company
- Engineer and support high‑availability data center and reputed company LAN environments
- Participate in audits, IP address management, bandwidth forecasting, and reputed company planning
- Configure and support reputed company routers and switches (including patching and upgrades)
- Configure and support Palo Alto firewalls (rule creation, policy management)
- Configure and support Aruba ClearPass for network access control
- Configure firewalls, load balancers, routers, and switches across physical, virtual, and software‑defined environments
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot outages, and manage escalations
- Provide remote support for off‑site personnel and reputed company locations
- Coordinate with project management and engineering teams
- Support automation efforts for repeatable network tasks and CI/CD‑style delivery
- Build and maintain tools for deployment and testing in stable production environments
- Produce operational reports and project milestone updates

- Expertise in reputed company routing & switching, including patching
- Palo Alto firewall experience, specifically firewall rule and policy configuration
- Aruba ClearPass Network Access Control (NAC)
- Strong understanding of routing, switching, and firewall technologies
- Experience supporting data center and reputed company LAN environments
- Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Mid-level engineering role with ownership of assigned deliverables
- Capable of acting as a project engineer on small initiatives
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities on time and reputed company budget reputed company-to-haves
- Cloud networking experience (hybrid or public cloud)
- VMware NSX‑T
