Why a Career at careerzynith Is More Than a Job

At careerzynith, you join a community that shares a common purpose – protecting what matters most. Our culture is built on collaboration, continuous learning, and a deep sense of responsibility. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just starting out, you’ll find a supportive family that celebrates achievements, encourages growth, and values every voice.

Role Overview – Remote Customer Retention & Sales Specialist

As a Remote Customer Retention & Sales Specialist at careerzynith, you will be the frontline guardian of our customer relationships. Your primary mission is to engage customers who are considering canceling their service, understand their concerns, and present tailored solutions that keep them protected and satisfied. This role blends expert problem‑solving, persuasive communication, and a genuine passion for helping people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer a high volume of inbound calls from customers intending to cancel their careerzynith service.
  • Employ active listening and empathy to uncover the root causes of cancellation requests.
  • Present customized retention offers—such as discounted rates, billing adjustments, equipment upgrades, or additional services—to address each customer’s unique situation.
  • Maintain a “first‑call resolution” mindset, reducing the need for repeat contacts or escalations.
  • Document interactions accurately in the CRM system, ensuring all relevant details are captured for future reference.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (technical support, billing, product specialists) to resolve complex issues quickly.
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly retention targets while adhering to quality and compliance standards.
  • Continuously refine de‑escalation techniques and stay current on careerzynith product updates, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
  • Participate in mandatory onsite training in Wichita, KS, for 8‑12 weeks, followed by ongoing virtual coaching and development.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales‑oriented call‑center environment, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding retention and upsell goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high‑stress situations, de‑escalate upset customers, and negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Strong numerical aptitude—comfortable performing quick calculations, price comparisons, and contract analyses.
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Reliable high‑speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps download / 15 Mbps upload) and a distraction‑free home office setup.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity, empathy, and persuasive storytelling.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience in home‑security, smart‑home, or related technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with multiple software platforms simultaneously (10+ screens/tools) and the ability to switch seamlessly between them.
  • Certification or training in conflict resolution, negotiation, or customer experience management.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning—participation in webinars, industry conferences, or internal training programs.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Active Listening: Capture subtle cues, ask probing questions, and validate customer concerns.
  • Empathy & Compassion: Build trust by acknowledging emotions and showing genuine care.
  • Problem‑Solving: Quickly diagnose issues, generate creative solutions, and present them confidently.
  • Negotiation & Persuasion: Influence outcomes while maintaining respect and professionalism.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurately document interactions, follow compliance guidelines, and manage multiple data points.
  • Time Management: Efficiently handle back‑to‑back calls without sacrificing quality.

Training & Development Pathway

All new hires undergo an intensive, paid, onsite training program at our Wichita, KS campus. Over the first 8‑12 weeks, you will:

  • Receive daily coaching from seasoned trainers focused on product knowledge, retention strategies, and sales techniques.
  • Participate in role‑playing exercises that simulate real‑world escalation scenarios.
  • Gain mastery of careerzynith systems, policies, and competitive positioning.
  • Earn performance‑based bonuses that reflect your ability to retain customers and exceed targets.

After the initial training, you will continue to benefit from ongoing virtual workshops, mentorship programs, and a clear career ladder that can lead to senior retention, team lead, or operations management roles.

Career Growth & Advancement Opportunities

careerzynith invests heavily in its people. As you demonstrate expertise and achieve retention goals, you may progress to:

  • Senior Retention Specialist – handling high‑value accounts and complex negotiations.
  • Team Lead – coaching a group of retention agents, setting performance standards, and driving team success.
  • Operations Analyst – using data insights to refine retention strategies across the organization.
  • Product Specialist – collaborating with product development to shape future security solutions based on customer feedback.

Each step is supported by tuition reimbursement, internal training resources, and a culture that celebrates internal promotion.

Compensation, Perks, & Benefits

  • Competitive Base Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour, with incremental increases every 30 days until reaching $21.00 per hour after 180 days.
  • Performance Bonuses: Additional earnings tied to retention metrics and sales achievements.
  • Full Benefits Package: Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; 401(k) with employer match; short‑ and long‑term disability coverage.
  • Paid Time Off: Accrual of up to 120 hours in the first year, increasing with tenure; 6 paid holidays plus weekends off.
  • Professional Development: Tuition reimbursement, certification support, and access to industry conferences.
