Role Overview – Remote Data Entry Specialist careerzynith is seeking a meticulous, self‑motivated Remote Data Entry Specialist to join our growing team of health‑tech professionals. In this role, you will be the backbone of our patient information workflow, entering and verifying data from a variety of electronic medical record (EMR) systems with speed, accuracy, and strict adherence to HIPAA and internal compliance standards. You will directly impact the quality of care delivered to millions of users by ensuring that every data point is captured correctly and securely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate Data Capture Enter patient demographics, clinical notes, lab results, and other health information into careerzynith’s proprietary software with a minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute while maintaining a 99.5% accuracy rate.
  • EMR System Navigation Access and retrieve records from multiple EMR platforms, ensuring proper authorization and compliance with each system’s protocols.
  • Quality Assurance Perform routine checks for data consistency, flag discrepancies, and collaborate with clinical teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Customer Service Excellence Provide courteous, knowledgeable support to internal stakeholders and external partners, answering queries about data status and privacy safeguards.
  • HIPAA & Compliance Management Uphold patient privacy by restricting access to authorized personnel only, documenting releases of information, and maintaining current HIPAA certification.
  • Information Governance Participation Contribute to careerzynith’s information governance program by following documented policies, reporting process variations, and engaging in required compliance training.
  • Documentation & Reporting Generate daily activity logs, summarize data entry metrics, and submit reports to the Operations Manager for continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to type at least 50 words per minute with high accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and comfort learning new software applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Self‑motivated, reliable, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team‑player mindset with a willingness to collaborate across functional areas.
  • Prior experience in a medical records or health‑care setting is helpful but not required; comprehensive training will be provided. Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills
  • Experience with EMR platforms such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth.
  • Certification in Health Information Management (HIM) or related field.
