[Remote] Director of Finance & Accounting (Restaurants)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Origin Staffing is seeking a Director of Finance & Accounting for a multi-entity restaurant portfolio. The role involves leading FP&A and accounting operations while partnering with leadership on financial strategies and support for newly acquired entities.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop 2 FP&A team members, while overseeing budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting
- Review accounting outputs and help connect close, reporting, and business needs across the platform
- Partner directly with senior leadership on ad hoc analysis, decision support, and finance-related operational priorities
- Oversee technical accounting matters, including lease accounting, while strengthening reporting accuracy and controls
- Provide strategic finance support to newly acquired restaurant entities, helping integrate processes, reporting, and financial discipline
- Lead multiple simultaneous audits across operating entities, managing external auditors and driving an organized, audit-ready process
- Help build scalable finance infrastructure in a lean, high-visibility environment
Skills
- 7+ years of progressive experience across audit, accounting, and finance leadership
- Strong experience managing audits across multiple entities
- Deep understanding of audit support, reporting, and FP&A
- Experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or multi-unit consumer space
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on role with both strategic and tactical responsibilities
- Public accounting background preferred
