[Remote] Electrical Engineer/System Designer - High End Resi (Remote US Based)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sound & Image Design, Inc is a company focused on providing professional residential and commercial electrical contracting services. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer/System Designer to perform electrical takeoffs and create design documentation for high-end residential and light commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical takeoffs for residential and commercial projects
- Creation of design and engineering documentation for electrical systems implementation in high end residences and light commercial applications
- Understand design software (ideally AutoCAD, D-Tools, Planswift)
- Deep understanding of electrical systems, NEC, load calculations, engineering circuits & distribution systems
- Understand the built environment and phases of construction projects
Skills
- Experience designing electrical systems for residential and commercial projects
- Strong working knowledge of the NEC
- Experience producing electrical drawings and construction documentation
- Experience with AV or low-voltage distribution layouts
- Familiarity with residential construction, commercial tenant improvements, service upgrades, and electrical permitting requirements
