[Remote] Hair & Beauty Content Writer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Compose.ly is a beauty brand incubator focused on building innovative beauty and personal care brands. They are seeking an experienced beauty and hair content writer to create authoritative and educational content that enhances brand visibility through SEO and GEO initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Write SEO- and GEO-focused content across multiple formats
- Create blog articles, listicles, educational guides, FAQs, and YouTube scripts
- Conduct independent research to ensure content accuracy and credibility
- Incorporate provided keywords, briefs, and content strategy recommendations
- Produce content that is optimized for both traditional search and AI-driven discovery experiences
- Utilize AI tools responsibly to support research and content development while maintaining originality and quality
- Collaborate with designers and recommend supporting graphics, visual assets, infographics, and video concepts that can enhance content performance
- Deliver drafts efficiently and iterate quickly based on stakeholder feedback
- Communicate proactively regarding content recommendations and opportunities
- Bias toward action, being able to deliver something, ask for feedback, and then iterate quickly
Skills
- Demonstrable professional content writing experience within the beauty industry
- Strong knowledge of hair care, hair styling, hair tools, and beauty topics
- Experience creating SEO-focused content with excellent research and fact-checking abilities
- GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) experience
- Ability to write educational, engaging, and conversion-focused content
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools to enhance workflow while maintaining content quality
- Published bylines within the beauty, hair care, or wellness industries
- Recognized subject matter expertise in hair care or beauty
- Experience developing content recommendations for visual and video assets
- Familiarity with E-E-A-T best practices and content authority-building strategies
- Strong design collaboration experience
