[Remote] Head of AI Engineering (Multi-Agent Systems)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Leorna is an early-stage startup building a centralized big-data platform that gives AI agents persistent, long-term memory. They are seeking a founding, hands-on engineering leader who will own the technical vision and architecture while also writing production code.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision and architecture for the AI memory and multi-agent platform, end to end
- Write and ship production code daily. You lead from the front, not just the whiteboard
- Build the AI/agent layer (LLM orchestration, retrieval, memory, multi-agent coordination) and the data backbone that feeds it
- Make the hard build-vs-buy, stack, security, and scalability calls
- Take the product from prototype to production fast, then hire and grow the engineering team
Skills
- Senior engineer or architect who has built and shipped complex systems end to end
- Deep, hands-on experience with AI/LLM systems: agents, orchestration, RAG/retrieval, and memory
- Strong distributed-systems and data-platform fundamentals
- Startup mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, speed, and wearing many hats
- Founding-level ownership, excited to grow into the technical leadership of the company
