[Remote] Instructional Designer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cypress HCM is seeking an Instructional Designer II to support its global Advocacy organization through onboarding, career progression, and operational change initiatives. This role will design and develop engaging learning experiences to enhance customer support teams' performance and support continuous improvement efforts across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop engaging learning solutions including eLearning, virtual instructor-led training (vILT), microlearning, videos, and supporting documentation
- Create hands-on learning activities and assessments that reinforce knowledge retention and job readiness
- Partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather content and translate complex information into learner-friendly materials
- Conduct learning needs assessments and audience analysis to identify objectives and recommend learning strategies
- Build, maintain, and update online learning content using instructional design best practices
- Develop digital learning experiences using Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, and related eLearning technologies
- Create quizzes, assessments, and interactive learning components
- Test and validate courses before release and maintain existing content as products and processes evolve
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align training initiatives with business goals
- Collect and act on learner and facilitator feedback to improve content effectiveness
- Track projects and deliverables through Asana
- Stay current on instructional design trends, learning technologies, and adult learning methodologies
- Support knowledge-sharing initiatives and learning enablement programs across the organization
Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field
- 3+ years of instructional design experience
- Experience developing eLearning content and digital learning programs
- Strong proficiency with Articulate Rise 360, Storyline, LMS platforms, and multimedia authoring tools
- Experience facilitating or supporting virtual training delivery
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Portfolio showcasing instructional design work across multiple learning formats
- Experience creating assessments, quizzes, and interactive learning experiences
- Experience supporting customer support, operations, enablement, or advocacy organizations
- Experience working in high-growth technology environments
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workspace, and Asana
