[Remote] Lead OMS Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. EPAM Systems is seeking an experienced Lead OMS Engineer to oversee and guide a team of OMS/Java developers in delivering high-quality solutions within the Fluent Commerce ecosystem. This role involves technical leadership, hands-on development, and coordination to ensure successful delivery and operational reliability.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and delivery guidance to a team of OMS developers
- Assist in solution design and feature development for Fluent Commerce OMS
- Develop and enhance backend OMS capabilities within the Fluent Commerce ecosystem
- Review technical specifications and user stories for accuracy and completeness
- Refine and manage backlog to ensure development readiness
- Coordinate and implement backlog requirements
- Oversee unit test automation and ensure best practices
- Resolve defects and provide technical issue support
- Participate in PI Planning Sessions and Quarterly Alignment Days (QADs)
- Ensure technical documentation is accurate and comprehensive
- Coordinate release preparations and production deployment activities
- Maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines and manage platform and application changes
- Oversee AWS, GitLab, Spring Boot, WebFlux, MongoDB, and Python-based components
Skills
- 5+ years of working experience in backend development with Fluent Commerce, Java, and Spring Boot
- Expertise in GitLab CI/CD pipeline management, MongoDB, and Python-based components
- Experience in AWS platform technologies and WebFlux architecture
- Capability to lead technical teams and oversee delivery processes
- Background in solution design and technical specifications creation
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills (B2+)
- Familiarity with REST API
