You will be writing and filing news stories every day that go out to hundreds of media organisations across the country. - Research and write accurate news stories on daily assignments
- File copy quickly and cleanly to meet tight deadlines
- Conduct interviews with sources, spokespeople, and members of the public
- Verify facts before publishing — accuracy is everything at PA Media
- Cover breaking news as it happens and update stories when needed
- Work closely with editors and sub-editors to get copy right
- Pitch story ideas when you spot something worth covering
Working Hours
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work during breaking news
- Flexible start and end times within reason
- Must be reachable during core UK news hours
