[Remote] NFL Network Security Administrator

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Algoworks is seeking a motivated Network Security Administrator to assist in the management, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise firewall and network security infrastructure. The role involves providing support and troubleshooting for NFL firewall devices, collaborating with various teams, and analyzing security events to identify potential threats.

Responsibilities

• Provide NFL Game Day monitoring, support and troubleshooting of NFL firewall devices
• Collaborate with network, server, and cybersecurity teams to troubleshoot application related issues
• Analyze firewall logs and security events to identify potential issues, threats or policy violations
• Participate in Enterprise firewall policy reviews and cleanup/optimization activities
• Maintain accurate documentation of firewall configurations, network diagrams, and change records
• Review, implement, and document firewall rule changes according to established procedures
• Respond to incidents and service requests related to firewall operations
• Follow change management processes and security best practices

Skills

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, DNS/DHCP, and BGP technologies
• Familiarity with firewall concepts such as security zones, security policies, NAT, policy-based forwarding and threat prevention
• Experience with Palo Alto Next Generation firewalls and Panorama
• Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot connectivity issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Experience with Cisco Meraki MX security devices, Zscaler and/or Prisma Access is a plus
• Ability to interpret packet captures with tools like Wireshark
• Familiarity with SIEM and log analysis tools
• Knowledge of cloud networking and security concepts
• Basic scripting experience with Python and/or PowerShell
• Relevant certifications such as: Palo Alto Networks Certifications (PSNSA, PSNSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
