Position Overview

careerzynith is seeking a Remote Part‑Time Community Chat Moderator to oversee the official Discord server that serves as the hub for our learners, developers, and community enthusiasts. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor live chat streams across multiple Discord channels, promptly identifying messages that violate community rules.
• Delete offending content, issue warnings, mute, or ban users in accordance with established moderation policies.
• Investigate user‑submitted reports, gather evidence, and document incidents for future reference.
• Collaborate with careerzynith’s community management team to refine moderation guidelines and improve response protocols.
• Maintain a calm and professional demeanor while handling high‑stress situations, ensuring that all actions are transparent and fair.
• Provide constructive feedback to community members about acceptable behavior, fostering a culture of mutual respect.
• Participate in weekly moderation debriefs, sharing insights and suggesting enhancements to the moderation workflow.
• Stay up‑to‑date with Discord’s evolving features, tools, and best practices to leverage automation where appropriate.

Essential Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
