[Remote] Senior Data Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Eames Consulting is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their high-caliber, product-focused engineering team. The role involves building and scaling AI-enabled data systems, where engineers own problems end-to-end and ship real products, not just pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Building and shipping data products, APIs, and intelligent workflows used in real customer-facing systems
- Designing scalable Python services and modern cloud-based data architectures
- Developing batch and streaming pipelines across structured and unstructured data
- Using AI tools to accelerate development, testing, and debugging
- Owning performance, reliability, and system quality end-to-end
- Working closely with product and engineering teams to solve meaningful, real-world problems
Skills
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with a focus on building production systems
- Experience with Python, modern data platforms, and distributed data processing
- Experience with batch and streaming architectures
- Familiarity with Snowflake and AWS (or similar cloud environments)
- Someone who takes ownership and is comfortable working in fast-moving environments
- A builder mindset, able to take ambiguous problems and turn them into working systems
- Interest in AI and how it can improve how software is built and operated
