[Remote] Senior Functional Consultant (Salesforce)

The Senior Salesforce Functional Consultant will enhance the Salesforce platform, ensuring it delivers exceptional value, while engaging with stakeholders and driving continuous improvement across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day administration, configuration, and support of our Salesforce platform
- Focus on Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
- Work closely with stakeholders from across the university to understand business needs
- Deliver innovative solutions
- Improve user adoption
- Ensure the platform remains stable, secure, and fit for the future
- Contribute to enhancing data quality
- Streamline business processes
- Deliver new functionality that enables colleagues to work more efficiently and effectively
- Take a leading role in delivering our Salesforce roadmap
- Champion a configuration-first approach
- Help maximise the value of our investment in Salesforce
- Influence platform design
- Support complex business requirements
- Drive continuous improvement across our Salesforce ecosystem
Skills
- Significant hands-on experience in similar or related roles, including issue escalation and platform ownership
- 4+ years administering Salesforce in a complex organisation
- Advanced declarative configuration expertise (Flows, automation, security, reporting)
- Strong understanding of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working within Agile or structured service delivery environments
- Salesforce Certified Administrator
- Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant and Service Cloud Consultant certifications
- Experience with Omni‑Channel features
- Experience mentoring administrators or supporting capability development
- Experience working in Higher Education, public sector, or regulated environments
- Familiarity with Jira or similar work and demand‑management tools
- Experience supporting enterprise‑scale Salesforce users, data volumes, and governance structures
