[Remote] Senior Mechanical Engineer

GreenBridge is a company focused on mission-critical infrastructure, and they are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of large-scale data center facilities. The role involves developing innovative HVAC and cooling solutions to ensure the reliability and efficiency of advanced data centers.
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical system design for hyperscale and enterprise data center projects from concept through construction and commissioning
- Develop project scopes of work based on client requirements, technical reviews, and stakeholder meetings
- Solve complex engineering challenges involving critical cooling, HVAC, and mechanical infrastructure systems
- Perform engineering studies, system evaluations, feasibility assessments, and schematic designs for new and existing facilities
- Analyze and optimize the performance of existing mechanical systems to improve reliability, efficiency, and resiliency
- Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, budgets, schedules, and resource requirements
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to multidisciplinary design teams
- Review and oversee engineering deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with project objectives
- Coordinate project execution with clients, contractors, architects, and other engineering disciplines
- Interpret and apply building codes, energy standards, and industry best practices while working with code officials when necessary
- Review construction documents, contractor submittals, and payment applications throughout project delivery
- Assist in developing construction budgets, cost estimates, and value-engineering solutions
- Drive engineering excellence while ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, helping build the next generation of technical leaders
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 7–15+ years of HVAC and mechanical design experience within the MEP consulting industry
- Experience designing mission-critical facilities, data centers, or other highly resilient infrastructure projects is strongly preferred
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water plants, cooling technologies, and critical mechanical infrastructure
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and industry-standard design and calculation software
- Strong understanding of local building codes, energy codes, and industry standards
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills with the ability to build trusted advisor relationships
- Thorough understanding of the construction process from design through commissioning
- Experience designing mission-critical facilities, data centers, or other highly resilient infrastructure projects is strongly preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
