[Remote] Senior Principal Engineer

PalC Networks is looking for a Senior Principal Engineer to help drive the future of high-performance cloud and AI networking infrastructure. The role involves developing networking software for Broadcom-based platforms and collaborating with various teams to enhance networking solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize networking software for Broadcom-based switching platforms
- Design and implement advanced L2/L3 forwarding features on modern ASIC architectures
- Work closely with silicon, platform, and network software teams to enable next-generation networking solutions
- Drive performance, scalability, and reliability improvements across large-scale data center environments
- Contribute to hardware enablement, traffic management, QoS, and forwarding pipeline innovations
Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Broadcom BCM SDK
- Experience with Broadcom DNX (Jericho/Qumran) and/or XGS (Tomahawk/Trident) architectures
- Solid understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking fundamentals
- Deep knowledge of EVPN, VXLAN, MPLS, Multicast, and Data Center Networking technologies
- Experience with Traffic Management (TM), QoS, and ASIC-level forwarding concepts
- Strong C/C++ development experience in embedded or networking environments
- Experience with Linux-based networking platforms
- Experience with SONiC or Open Network Linux (ONL), or other open networking platforms
- Experience working on hyperscale, cloud, or AI networking infrastructures
- Exposure to merchant silicon networking ecosystems
