[Remote] Senior Software Engineer, Backend
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Automox is on a mission to raise the world's security confidence, enabling IT Admins to automate fundamental security tasks. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to build and maintain their SaaS based endpoint management software, contributing to all aspects of software development.
Responsibilities
- Build high quality, scalable web applications using best coding standards and writing clean, well designed code
- Extend, enhance, and maintain the core product software and databases
- Contribute to continual improvement by testing, performance tuning, refactoring, usability improvements, and automation
- Produce detailed specifications, and contribute in all phases of the engineering lifecycle
Skills
- Experienced in one of the following languages desired: Golang, PHP (Laravel), Java is highly desired
- Relational database design and web database integration (PostgreSQL)
- Development in a Linux server environment
- Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
- Work well in a tightly knit, cross-functional team environment
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Non-relational database experience is a plus
- Experience writing RESTful APIs
- You have experience with cloud native application development 'Docker, AWS, Kubernetes'
