[Remote] Senior Tax Accountant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Incite Tax is a company dedicated to helping clients understand their taxes and make smarter financial decisions. As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will manage tax returns, advise clients on tax strategies, and mentor junior accountants while enjoying a flexible work environment.
Responsibilities
- Handle individual and business tax returns with accuracy and confidence
- Identify tax-saving opportunities, recommend proactive strategies, and communicate with clients clearly and consistently
- Support and guide junior tax accountants, conduct peer reviews, and share feedback to strengthen team performance
- Reviewing 25-30 returns per week during peak season and 15 in off season (depending on position level) while maintaining quality and efficiency
- Work closely with fellow senior accountants to ensure consistent, high-quality results and efficient processes
- Keep up to date with tax law changes and compliance requirements to deliver the best possible outcomes for clients
- Participate in ongoing training and contribute ideas that improve our tax systems and client experience
Skills
- Experience preparing, reviewing, and filing tax returns
- Proficient in tax software (CCH) and accounting systems
- Strong compliance knowledge
- Skilled in peer review, mentoring, and supporting team members
- Excellent communication and client advisory skills
- A team player who appreciates a lighthearted culture (dad jokes welcome)
- CPA license or EA certification preferred
- 4+ years in tax or public accounting
