[Remote] Social Media Content Proofreader (Volunteer/Remote)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Abuse Refuge Org. (ARO) is a nonprofit organization focused on helping victims of abuse. They are seeking a Social Media Content Proofreader to assist in editing and revising various professional documents for their social media team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with editing and revising a broad variety of professional documents such as content, articles, and other publications for the social media team
- Utilize Asana to review tasks and Slack to respond to messages
- Reviews graphics in Canva to ensure all ARO requirements are met
- Edit content according to specifications for style, tone, and length, while also ensuring correct use of grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Ensure social media content meets style, formatting, and general quality standards
- Attend the monthly company meeting
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Skills
- Must be available to volunteer 8-10 hours a week
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- A team player with demonstrated experience working well with others
- Be a self-starter with excellent time management skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Behave professionally in manner and appearance
- Ability to anticipate and critically think through problems
- This role is best suited for individuals seeking a longer-term volunteer opportunity (12+ months preferred)
