[Remote] Software Engineering Manager

Hanalytica GmbH is a healthcare technology company based in Portland, Oregon, seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead their engineering team. The role involves technical leadership, team management, and overseeing the development of enterprise software systems that support healthcare operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers
- Oversee the delivery of multiple software projects
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Provide technical guidance and architectural direction
- Ensure strong engineering practices (code reviews, testing, CI/CD)
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, priorities, and timelines
- Identify technical risks and delivery challenges
- Support adoption of modern engineering tools, including AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot
Skills
- 6+ years of experience managing software development teams
- 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Strong experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale software systems
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and OOP
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
- Familiarity with Angular or modern JavaScript frameworks
- Experience with Azure DevOps or CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working in healthcare or other regulated industries
